The Bait soundtrack is a snapshot of South Asian diaspora and UK culture. The Bait soundtrack journey began with Riz searching for the perfect song to accompany his character’s quest to be cast as the next James Bond - and it turned out that Jorja Smith already had a demo called “Price Of It All” which was perfect for the show - Riz’s very own Bond song.
This sparked a conversation about putting together a soundtrack inspired by Bait, touching upon the themes and sounds of the show, namely UK / South Asian identity and vintage Bollywood / Lollywood music.
Alongside original music from the incredible roster of artists who contributed to the Bait Soundtrack, this body of work takes directly from the key themes of the show by sampling some of the vintage music used within the series.
